Heal the World

I happen to think this is my favourite work this semester. A final assignment for illustration class. Yea~ if only I know how to make the sky background look more dramatic.

Drawn on A3, coloured with my expensive colour pencils, inked with artline and colour pens borrowed from tzeyee. Background with soft pastels.

I like how you drew the multiracial hands and the industrial thingos on the top. I especially like the smoke. the background is nice but a little bit plain-ish at the bottom. If you could, I think enlarging the city and the hands at the bottom might be a good idea; but I understand A3 is a freaking large thing to paint and colour.

I can't quite guess the story though. Mind enlightening me a bit? I think I saw a tree...

On the side note, I think the world needs more healing than just the environment. The healing of the souls. Corruption, war, conspiracy, greed etc

Sigh I want to draw now.

yep, u definitely saw a tree. it is about how the destruction of the world is brought about by people. yet at the same time, the world can only be healed by those same hands that work together.

um... i kinda dislike the background the most. didn't turn out as dramatic as i want it to be, and i got too lazy up to that point. maybe i can paint it digitally instead? haha.. the wonders u can do with photoshop.
