Of First Impressions, Gay Guy and Insane Woman
I have only been back for five days. Why does it feel like forever already? Oops. Not a good sign.
Yeh, I have already met with nearly all my lecturers this semester, save one, the GD lect, whom I am going to meet tomorrow. The last crucial one. The one who is going to make or break this semester. I know I have reinstate on many occasions how lecturers are not really that important and how being spoon fed is something to be done back in secondary school, not university. BUT, a good lecturer can spur me on like no other. A good lecturer inspires and make me feel like performing to impress.
Only five modules this sem. Did so bad last semester that even if I scored four flats throughout the rest of my years here, I will still not be able to reach my ultimate goal. Therefore, that objective crushed. *slap slap* If I cannot shoot for the star, then I shall settle for the moon.
The major I chose was advertising. I met the lect already, the first one. Wahaha... he's so gay~ An incredibly nice guy, I supposed, experienced in his field, I hope, and he's not gay but just looked gayish, I think. He talked a lot. He fileld the entire class hours with talks on advertising and coke and recycling. Besides the occasional yawn, it was interesting, listening to him. I got some pretty good laugh out of that session as well. I like him. Hopefully he lives up to expectations.
Insane woman is going to teach us typography. Insane, why? For the first class, she has already given us places to visit in KL, such as butterfly park, bird park, museums and this and that park/garden/lake. The objective? Collect colour combinations, shapes, symbols and icons. 250 each. You do the calculation. Woman is insane. I am happy with this crazy work. The end product is actually designing a series of dingbats. You know, the kind of fonts that don't show letters but shapes of leaves/ animals/ ornaments instead? She said we can actually apply FontLab, if we know. Dank! No we don't. That (fill in demeaning adjective) lecturer who taught us last sem knows nothing about typography therefore taught us nothing!! Another thing to put into my list of 'Things To Learn On My Own'.
Oh yeah, know what was the first thing I heard from her when I entered the class? "I want soldiers who are here for the fight." I'm serious!
Illustration lect is a different one that the one we usually had. She looked so fresh! And we had the same lect for Socio-Psychology in Design. Wahaha~ can't wait to tell HF I'm gonna be learning psychology... I think. I asked that lect who gave me a B, I think last sem for my Design Heritage paper, on how I can do better in his class. Enough to said the question might as well be better off not asked.
So far so good, the line of lects. Hopefully the GD lect is just as good as first impressions go tomorrow.
ps: I need to get to work!!! will start after i finish watching my gossip girl, grey's anatomy, anime, tvb dramas..... etc... omg.....

Ubat Batuk Cap Ibu Dan Anak
Dilute a spoonful of thick ubat batuk cap ibu dan anak in hot boiling water. Let it cool a little before taking a sip. The heat of the drink soothes the itchy throat as it goes down, leaving a trail of coolness in the mouth. It warms and cools at the same time.

I. Am. Going. Back. To. Hutan. On. Sunday.
Yep. Cyberjaya, hutan, one and the same. I have already lugged all my luggage back into my new room last weekend. It's a mess in there. I dread a little having to face it all again. Haih.
You know life is boring when you can manage to sleep the whole day off and can still feel sleepy. I am embarassed to have to blog on mundane things like this once more. This is just an announcement. Don't mind me.
I look forward to a brand new semester. Will have to decide on a major and I'm hoping I'm making the right choice. As of now, my decision seemed good. Not seeing any potholes if there are any. And if I screw this up just like how I screwed up in my choice of uni, well, cheers to me, you big screwball (by this I mean me, I mean. don't be so touchy, i don't mean you)!!!
Ugh. Getting a horrible bout of home sickness once more. But give me two days there, and once I'm immersed in the routine over there, I am sure I can get this feeling over with. At the thought of boarding Konsortium to Puduraya, I feel sick.

Blog Recolouring
Whoa~ check out the new look! You dig?
I know fairly little about customizing blog designs so the best I can do now is pick my own colours. Yeah, I know, even an amateur less than an anmateur will know how to do this. But I do like the colours!
This is something which I have thought of doing since the beginning of break. A brand new look to a brand new year!!
This will get better. Better designs, better colours, better themes, better stories. This I promise you. It's nothing much to look at now, I can only hope it gets better. *fingers crossed*

I used to hate waiting. Just like how I don't like people who are not punctual and have to wait for them to show up. So, sometimes I do things like telling them to be there a half hour earlier than the supposed time. And then I like showing off my punctuality by showing up on the dot. I thought that showed my discipline and a subtle hint that said, "See how I can do it? Why can't you?" And recently it dawned on me that only people who have all the time in the world can play at being punctual with ease.
Have you ever thought that in many cases the real excitement lie in the waiting? The anticipation? Just right before the moment, you have the liberty to make up anything and have all kinds of expectations. The wait gives us the freedom for imagination. And when the moment arrived, it might be less than what we expect, or maybe more. Anyhow, the wait is always the one that has the ability to fill us either with dread, butterflies or sunshine.
I am waiting. At the slightest hint I choked. It made me wonder how I'll handle it when it's right in my face. But I know that if it happens again, I shall play it differently. I went to sleep with a smile and woke up wondering. I like the feeling. I have gone through it before. The wait. By the end of it, I usually came away the greater fool. What the hell, who cares? No one even knows what I am talking about.
